An Amazing House, Only Ten Feet Wide

With the human population swelling to incredible numbers and our natural resources dwindling at an alarming rate, space is becoming a premium commodity in an ever shrinking planet. This woodland retreat by Torsten Ottesjö takes minimal space and makes it both beautiful and practical & is a favourite place in Sweden to fish, for herring. The unit is tiny, shiny and eco-friendly to boot, the narrow construction measures around one cubic meter, which just shows that humans actually don’t need that much space to feel comfortable. Even though it’s so small, it calls to mind a large airy space with it’s carefully considered plan that addresses natural human movements and features most of the furniture which is built-in to maximise space.
