Using just packing tape and a scalpel, Max Zorn creates amazingly realistic portraits. Max has taken such a normal everyday item, brown packing tape, and elevated it to an art medium. His truly creative mind uses layers of the packing tape to create light and shade, the same way an artist would use charcoal.
As packing tape generally comes in just one colour, it takes an astonishing amount of creativity to create the sepia tones and geometric shapes in the background of the images. It is also an example of his meticulous work that he manages not to get lint stuck to the tape.
