55th Grammy Award Nominations

The 55th Annual Grammy Award Nominations have been announced and with genres ranging from Alternative to World everybody has been catered for. The nominations were announced at “The GRAMMY Nominations Live!!Countdown To Music’s Biggest Night” on December the 5th in Nashville.

The Grammy’s will be held on the 10th February 2013, 8/7 central time. So mark your date and time!!

Official Olympic Song

Have you heard the official Olympic song? It’s by British alternative rock band Muse and it’s nothing like their previous work. I love Muse, but I think I will have to let the song grow on me and with how many times it will probably be played during the Olympics, I think it just might.

One Direction is a group of 5 young men from Britain and Ireland that were the X-Factor finalists from 2010. They were signed to Simon Cowell’s record label, Syco Records and then signed to Columbia Records in North America. One Direction’s debut single “What makes you beautiful” was an all out hit, with their album, Up All Night debuting at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, making One Direction the first UK group in history to debut at number one with their first album. “Somebody that I used to know” is Belgian-Australian artist Gotye‘s single, released in July 2011. Since then it has been played by radio stations around the world, and now it has been remixed by club giant, DJ Tiësto. San Marino have just announced their first ever entry into the Eurovision Song Contest, sung by Valentina Monetta and called “Facebook Uh Oh Oh“. After the success of “One”, the trio have appeared on shows around the world. I love Swedish House Mafia and I think I could learn to love vodka if it made me look anything like those ladies.
