Jaguar UK and The Royal College of Art teamed up for the Clerkenwell Design Show in London recently. Second year students Claire Miller (Textiles) and Ewan Gallimore (Vehicle Design) constructed their interpretation of the future design language of Jaguar. They built the five and a half metre-long art structure from glass reinforced plastic and various coatings, finished with copper and patinas.

What JWT created really represents Bon Vivant’s passion for cheeses, it’s a cheese grater business card printed with Bon Vivant’s contact details. Smaller living spaces require new design concepts, here’s an interesting video from Resource Furniture that shows exactly what can be achieved with a little imagination. All the furniture they design serves a dual purpose, and can transform in a flash. Resource Furniture has realized that there is a market for compact furniture as well as a need for furniture that opens out.

Finish designer Nokolo Kerimov has designed Winnie, a series of lamps inspired by the playful shape of beehives. The small family of lamps are made of ceramic and have circular holes which serve as vents for the honey coloured light to spill from. Through use of caps and corks, these vents can also be used to control the amount of light that spills from the lamps.
