In many Christian cultures, it is traditional to construct gingerbread houses during the Christmas season. It is a pastime that is not only delicious but it also gets the kids involved with Christmas preparations, teaching them co-operation, team work and the Christmas spirit.

When I was at school I just had normal 30cm rulers, plain and straight, quite boring really. Granted I didn’t do anything that required a ruler as complicated as the Koala Versa Ruler.
One more Halloween craft before it’s officially too late. If you have some left over wine bottles that you can spare, why not try making a couple of Halloween Wine Bottle Jack-o-Lanterns. This tutorial can also be adapted to make Christmas decorations.
The design doesn’t have to be limited to Jack-o-Lanterns either, you can make Frankenstein’s Monster and ghosts using green spray paint and a glass frosting kit.

Amigurumi is the Japanese of using crochet to make stuffed animals and shapes. Some examples are so tiny, and use embroidery floss and needle thin crochet hooks. Others can be over sized toys that rival anything won at a carnival.
This art has spread the world over and the word Amigurumi is now used to describe any sort of handmade crocheted soft toy.

I think working at a company that makes beer cookies would be a dream come true for a lot of people. The Cookie Guild has started a Kickstarter page to help them fund their dream of providing great looking and tasting booze filled crunchy cookies.
Their idea is fresh, innovative and looks really tasty. Can’t wait to see these guys selling cookies at the next farmers market.

This is a great activity to do with your kids at home. The Glow Stick Xylophone teaches them colour recognition as well as musical notes. In fact glow sticks can be used to teach you kids anything from the alphabet to shapes.

Sometimes you need a project that’s as easy as 1-2-3, but the results are like oh my goodness aren’t I a smart cookie!. Enter the light switch, every house has their fair share & I’ll go out on a limb here & say every one is plain boring white, but thanks to Karisa over at Clever Thursday she shows us that they don’t have to be.
