When twin sisters Tia & Tamera Mowry burst onto our tv screens in 1984 they played identical twin sisters, Tia Landry & Tamera Campbell, who were separated and adopted at birth. The series then follows their life after meeting accidentally in a department store 14 years after they were separated.
Wind the clock forward to present day & the sisters have grown into two beautiful individual women. In 2008 Tia married her long time sweet heart, Cory Hardrict, they are now expect their first child together. Sister Tamera, has also just tied the knot.
So in todays post we take a look at some of Tamera’s wedding photo’s, a simple rustic affair with family & friends.
“I’ve always wanted an outdoor wedding with lots of flowers,” Tamera Mowry, 32, says of her May 15 nuptials to FOX News correspondent Adam Housley, 39, who popped the question during a trip to Venice in January. The twosome wed at the Villagio Inn & Spa in the groom’s native Napa Valley with 300 guests in attendance, among them actress pal Candace Cameron Bure.
Tamera says she relied heavily on her twin sister and matron of honor Tia, who is expecting her first child in July. “She’s had her little bridezilla moments, but she’s been pretty cool,” says Tia.
Mowry – gorgeous in a Carolina Herrera gown – poses with her flower girl and nine blush-clad bridesmaids, including maid of honor Andrea Regalado, who joined twin sis Tia in helping the bride out on her big day.
Mowry accessorized her traditional gown with diamond earrings and a canary-and-white diamond necklace by Erica Courtney.
What a well-dressed wedding crasher! The ring bearer walks the couple’s Shih Tzu – dressed in his own little tuxedo! – down the aisle.
Sister Tia gets caught up in the moment as her sister says her tradition vows. During the ceremony, the bride and groom honored their parents by presenting them with four long-stemmed roses. “Even though it’s our day, we wanted to honor them, because without their love and support we wouldn’t be the people we are today,” Tamera said.
Who needs dress shoes? Housley and his eight groomsmen, including brother and best man Arik, paired Converse sneakers with their tuxedos. After swapping traditional vows, Mowry changed into a two-piece Dolce & Gabbana ensemble for the sit-down reception dinner, and then again into a Hervé Léger dress for the dance-filled after party.
Playing up the wedding’s wine-country setting, event designer Eden Rodriguez decorated wooden farm tables with pale pink and white hydrangeas and roses, olive branches and hundreds of white candles on which guests dined on sea bass and filet mignon. The newlyweds then danced to Journey’s “Faithfully,” before treating their guests with a performance to LL Cool J’s “Going Back to Cali.”
A DJ from San Francisco’s urban station, KMEL, provided the tunes during the dinner and reception – but guests continued dancing until 1 a.m. at the afterparty, with tunes provided by cover band Pop Fiction. “We wanted a huge celebration where we could have a lot of fun!” Tamera is quoted as saying.
Mowry “couldn’t stop crying,” wedding planner Mindy Weiss says of the bride – but they were all tears of joy. Tamera, who had raved that her favorite part of being engaged was “knowing that I will have a partner forever,” & that she feels “lucky to marry my best friend. I can’t wait to spend my life with him.”
