For William & Kate the day could not have gone any smoother. The weather was perfect, the atmosphere electric, hundreds & thousands of people celebrating with them, close family & friends to share their love. Being the new set of young trendy royals William & Kate have made this royal wedding their own.
ROYAL WAVE
The Hon. Margarita Armstrong-Jones, 8, Tom Pettifer, 8, and Lady Louise Windsor, 7, wave as they pull up to Westminster Abbey.
With all the hype of the fashion, the colours, designs, dresses, shoes & jewels let us look at some more of the people who helped put a little cuteness in the wedding…….the Royal wedding attendants.
The pageboys and bridesmaids disembark as they reach Westminster Abbey. At 10, pageboy Master William Lowther-Pinkerton (far right) is the oldest of the attendants.
What’s so funny? Tom Pettifer gets a contagious case of the giggles as the Hon. Margarita Armstrong-Jones and Lady Louise Windsor exit their chauffeured ride.
The daughter of Prince William’s uncle Prince Edward enjoys her moment in the spotlight in her custom Nicki Macfarlane dress, handmade with the same fabrics as the bride’s dress.
Alexander McQueen-clad maid of honor (and sister of the bride!) Pippa Middleton holds tight to both 3-year-old attendants, Grace van Cutsem and Eliza Lopes. Each of the bridesmaids’ dresses has her name and the date of the wedding hand-embroidered onto the lining of each frock as a special memento of the day.
All of the attendants process into Westminster Abbey along with Pippa. The pageboys’ striking red uniforms are reminiscent of the Regency era, with its insignia drawn from the Irish Guards, whose Colonel is Prince William.
After the ceremony ends, Pippa piles into an elegant carriage along with Grace, Margarita and William as the procession wends its way toward Buckingham Palace.
Lady Louise Windsor, daughter of Prince Edward, gets in sync with her cousin Prince Harry as they greet the throngs of gathered royal watchers from the comfort of their carriage.
As the newlywed Duke and Duchess of Cambridge take their first (and second!) public kiss, they are joined by Lady Louise Windsor, Grace van Custem and Margarita Armstrong-Jones.
While people around the globe swooned at the romance of two kisses, one little girl was not so impressed! In a gesture getting attention from everyone from CNN to vanityfair.com, Grace van Cutsem (Prince William’s goddaughter) frowned and covered her ears while the crowd roared for the newlyweds’ smooch.
