So I know what you’re thinking, this cute little home looks like any other home you’d find somewhere along the coast or perhaps in some far off foreign land where it snows for most part of the year.
The thing is it probably could be, but what’s really special about this little gem is that it originally started it’s life as a boring old cluttered, not much to look at garage.
When Michelle de la Vaga decided too convert her 250 sq. ft. garage into additional living space, complete with a sleeping loft, she really had her work cut out for her.
Most of the furnishings and fixtures that were used in the garage, were either custom built, salvaged, refurbished or re purposed by Michelle or the trades people that worked on the project with her. The original structure was raised 4 feet, and Michelle added extra square footage to the original footprint for the bathroom.
There you have it, an amazing project that turned a somewhat questionable coloured garage, into a fabulous little cottage.
So the next time you find yourself complaining that you just don’t have enough room when the in-laws visit, why not challenge yourself to a little worthwhile project similar to what Michelle has achieved. When you’re done definitely you’ll feel it was well worth the effort, trust me!
