Filipino designer Vito Selma creates amazing, intricate furniture from wood. His functionally artistic furniture combine beautiful forms and creative simplicity to show off their wood grain and textures unabashedly. Vito views wood as a “partner”, an equal in the creative process of creating his furniture. As a result the wood seems to fuse with Vito, embodying his flow and inspiration.
Vito even compares his work to nudes, where the subject is unashamed of their nakedness, flaunting it instead to the viewers and critics.
