Delicate Dandelion Seed Art

Dandelion puffs

Regine Ramseier, has installed a beautiful piece of art at the Artoll Summer Lab from the 14th August to the 4th September 2011. In a feat of what looks like the ultimate delicacy, Regine has gathered about two thousand dandelion seed heads, sprayed them with a little adhesive and transported them from their sunny little meadow home to a little white room. Her method of transportation was ingenious and completely bespoke by the artist herself, it consisted of straws and palettes with holes drilled into them and spacer plates.

The Dandelion's original home     Close up of the palettes and wooden spacers used to transport the dandelions.
