The model that was used in each and every Harry Potter movie for exterior shots of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, finally goes up on display during the 3 hour Harry Potter Tour at the Leavesden studios that starts on the 31st March 2012.
The tour will include incredible, never-seen-before scenes as well as the incredibly detailed costumes and props for the movies.
When all the time spent on the model is added up, it took the 86 artists and crew members an incredible 74 years to build. Measuring 500 feet across, it has more than 2500 fibre optic lights to represent torches and students passing through hallways, a miniature owlery and even hinges on the doors.
