London Olympic Stadium

London 2012 Olympics and Paralympics a display of strength, agility, skill and speed. For the games held from the 21st July to 9th September this year, London got a brand new stadium. The Olympic stadium will host the opening and closing ceremonies, as well as athletics and Paralympic games. The Olympic stadium has a capacity of holding 80,000 people and used 10,000 tonnes of steel, compared to the 42,000 used by Beijing for their ‘Bird’s Nest’.After the Olympic games are held, football club West Ham are going to use the stadium as their home ground.
