Without the media frenzy seen in April, but with no less pomp and ceremony, Prince Albert of Monaco married Charlene Wittstock, his South African Olympic swimmer. The couple had a civil ceremony on Friday 1st July 2011and a religious Catholic ceremony on Saturday.
Both ceremonies were naturally attended by the rich and famous as well as other European Royalty, all wearing gowns and suites and generally looking royally gorgeous.
Here are some of my favourite images from the two day ceremony:
Charlene Wittstock wore a gorgeous Giorgio Armani Prive gown that came with a five-meter train which took the Armani team two thousand five hundred hours to make. Seven hundred hours were spent on embroidering the garment alone.
Close up of the intricate bead work and embroidery that went into the overall gown.
The new princess was a little emotional after exchanging vows with Prince Albert II of Monaco.
Adorable little flower girls in traditional Monagasque dresses follow the royal couple as they leave the wedding venue.
Only at a Royal wedding, and on a Royal, would a cape not be out of place.
Fashion icons Karl Lagerfeld and Giorgio Armani embrace at the dinner thrown for wedding guests.
