And now, here is part 2 of our story on the weddings of sisters Tia & Tamera Mowry.
Our next post is focused on the wedding of Tia Mowry to actor Cory Hardrict. They got married in Santa Barbara California. The two have been together since 2000 & Hardrict proposed to Mowry on Christmas day 2006.
Tia Mowry and her groom, actor Cory Hardrict, share a tender moment on their April 20 wedding day in Santa Barbara, California. The Game star, 29, and Hardrict, 32, celebrated their nuptials with 170 guests at the Four Seasons Resort the Biltmore.
Tia admires her empire-waisted custom Kevan Hall gown as twin sister – and maid of honor – Tamera gives her seal of approval. “I was really going for a very simple, elegant look because I wanted to look back at my pictures years down the road and say, ‘Wow, that still looks good today,’ ” she says.
“He was very, very poised,” says Mowry about proud papa Timothy escorting her down the aisle. “My dad was in the military so he was like, ‘Tia, make sure you start on your left foot. Make sure you walk in sync.’ “
The jubilant couple celebrate their Mrs. and Mr. status, but it was a gush of tears when they hit the dancefloor for their first spin to Beyoncé’s “Dangerously in Love 2″ at their Midsummer Night’s Dream-style reception. “I was bawling,” says Mowry. “I just lost it.”
Mowry says that her sister – and former Sister, Sister costar – was the ultimate maid of honor: “She basically was the organizer, just as much as the wedding planner was. She made sure everybody was down at the appropriate times, getting my hair and makeup. We were so on schedule, it was crazy.”
For her “something new” item, Tia (surrounded by her bridal party) wrapped a diamond infinity necklace given to her by Tamera around her bouquet.
To match her pink rose bouquet, Tia had a four-tier vanilla and red velvet wedding cake decorated with the blooms by Cake Divas.
“It was so much fun,” says Mowry of her wedding day. “When it was over I said, ‘Let’s do it again!’ “
“You can tell they’re really in love,” says wedding planner Robyn Goldberg of the newlyweds. “[Hardrict] wanted the wedding to be her dream come true.”
