Yoko Izawa’s Neckpieces

Yoko Izawa, originally from Japan, displays her work at the Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, creates jewellery from unconventional materials. Her unusual use of raw materials like coloured, knitted nylon wrapped around polypropylene plastic gives her pieces that intriguing tactile textile element making her work push the boundaries of what is considered acceptable. Yoko has achieved much success constructing her unconventional jewellery, like exhibiting at the The Sungkok Art Museum in Seoul, at the “Acrylic workshop and exhibition” organised by Craftit, Athens or even at “Origin” at Spitalfield’s Market, in London.

Yoko’s Veiled Collection satisfies her compulsion to wrap things.
