Congratulations everyone it’s official…..you’ve survived round one of the hustle & bustle of Christmas day! Now if you’ve taken on the equally massive task of hosting a fabulous New Year’s eve party, I have just one thing to say…..what were you thinking?
Gold Rush party ideas via the sweetest occasion.
If you find yourself in this position & you feel a second wave of panic coming on, don’t, most of you will have thought about New Year party ideas as soon as the Christmas table was cleared. But for those of us who haven’t, I’ve put together a few pictures that I think might help if you’re stuck for ideas.
Gold, who doesn’t love a bit of bling? If you decide to go this way, your party will definitely be a night to remember. Add a touch of black & we have a winner.
What about a classic, over the top theme? Well you can’t get any more dramatic than black, add an accent colour, oh say Red & you’ll be the talk of the town. Friends will think you are an utter genius (which of course you are) & will be green with envy.

I love this simple yet practical idea from the queen of all things party, Martha Stewart. In the last few minutes to the new year pass around champagne flutes with the numbers 1 to 10 on them which guests can rise up as you all count down the new year.

What about a beautiful more subdued setting that still shouts glamour. The ladies over at the pretty blog have managed just that. The main colour they used was pink with various metallics, the adult part of the guests were treated to cocktails, champagne & posh eats & the child in your guests can be brought out with pink candy floss & mini hamburgers, lovely, simple & chic.
