Mini Gingerbread Cookie Pies

Mini gingerbread cookie pies

In case you are looking for an emergency dessert for your Christmas table, I thought I would share with you these mini gingerbread cookie pies from Eclectic Recipes. The inspiration for them is from Pillsbury Gingerbread Cookie Dough and Pillsbury pie crusts that allow you to make both gingerbread cookies and pies really quickly.

* To make the cookie pies all it takes are ingredients and instructions from Eclectic Recipes

Twisted Flaky Cinnamon Bread

Can you believe it’s already September?! The year seems to be flying by, although I always seem to say that at this time of year. It’s already time to start thinking about what to do for Christmas, what to serve, who’s coming over and the snacks and nibbles that are always around.

This year, I think I will make this gorgeous Twisted Flaky Cinnamon Bread.

*this recipe is from All Colours Of The World, making it should be a snap

Blueberry Swirled Frozen Yoghurt Sandwiches

Berry season is a great time to get into the kitchen, starters, mains and desserts, all can benefit from a little berry madness. These blueberry swirled frozen yoghurt sandwiches are the result of Nicole from The Galley seeing the recipe on her copy of The Gourmet magazine and adapting it to suit her taste.

*If you prefer a different compote, you can find Nicole’s adapted recipe on The Galley

Anticipate Autumn With A Praline Pumpkin Cake

Despite the heat that is no doubt surrounding you at the moment, it’s never too late to start thinking about what you are going to start making to celebrate the harvest, Autumn.

*This Pumpkin Praline cake from Pinch My Salt would be the perfect way to celebrate the harvest, or anything else that needs celebrating.

Mini Cherry Pies

Summer fruit are out in full force right now, and it’s my favourite time of year because it’s cherry time. If you are struggling under a pile of cherries and want to do something besides tremble at the thought of another cherry desert night, how about baking them into a pie or several.

Individual pies made in muffin tins would really make a treat for the kids after dinner.

*These individual cherry pies were made by Bella at What you give away you keep

Peanut Butter and Chocolate Fondant

When you see a dish described as “a lustful tryst” of chocolate and peanut butter, you sort of have to take a closer look. That is exactly what Karen from Citrus and Candy describes her Chocolate and Peanut Butter fondants as and I am inclined to agree with her.

*You can find the full recipe on Citrus and Candy along with other recipes of a lustful nature

Baked French Toast

I am a fan of French Toast, I love the crispy tasty crunch of it. The way you can pair it with fruit for something really filling and balanced.

Pita Bread Family Recipe

Aimee from Under The Highchair has been kind enough to share a recipe for pita bread which has been made in her family for generations. It is really simple to follow and you end up with lovely, yeasty pillows of puffed up bread to fill with tzatziki, grilled vegetables and meat. Yum, what a great summer lunch.

Samoa Bundt Cake

There are some cakes that just taste better with a glass of milk, and this is one of them. With it’s resemblance, in both form and taste, to Samoa Girl Scout cookies, eating a slice of this cake with milk is practically a requirement.

Probably will take most of the day to make it but Betsy from BetsyLife, claims it is totally worth it. Good enough for me, I can’t wait to try it out.
