Beach Sand Bowls

Olga Bielawska And Her Fish Scale Bowls
Olga Bielawska has developed a technique that produces a finish on her bowls exactly like fish scales. The porcelain bowls have a skin that is pleasant to touch and combines a shiny glazed finish with a matt unglazed finsh to produce an exterior that is unique to each bowl.
I love a well designed bowl, and if that bowl has a tactile finish as well, I am sure to keep that bowl well within reach.
More Bamboo Bowls
You might remember the dinner plates we featured last year made from leaves and bamboo. Well I found another company that makes bowls, bake-ware, servers and utensils, among other things from bamboo. The difference this time is Core Bamboo, is part of Core Home, a company that makes some brightly coloured and beautifully crafted environmentally friendly housewares
You can read about why they chose bamboo on the Core Bamboo site
