A great way to celebrate all things London related in the lead up to the London Olympic Games 2012, is to make a ruffled burlap Union Jack cushion. Becca from From Gardeners Two Bergers made this one with a tutorial from Aimee at Twigg Studios, and it looks like it worked out just great.

Sometimes we just love what comes through our letter box at Funchkins and a few months back we received a nice little surprise…..a grocery bag by Basmati Bags.
Now let me tell you, I’ve counted the number of plastic shopping bags I’ve come home with, you’d be amazed at just how many I managed to accumulate in the short space of 1 week. I’ve also tried to keep track of how many times I’ve remembered to buy paper bags instead of plastic. While I admit that there are more times that plastic has followed me home, I do know that the times I have purchased paper I have done the environment a small favour.
