Charly’s Bakery is a business started by a family because of their love of feeding people, it has moved around through the years, to finally end up on Canterbury street where they serve up tasty tarts, creepy cakes and cupcakes to die for. The family’s inspiring story is now a reality series on South African local television that follows Charly’s Cake Angels and their Oopa Loompas, as their staff have been nicknamed. A word of warning, their fare is supposed to be dangerously addictive, you might end up changing life plans just to be able to patronize this little piece of baking heaven in Cape Town.
