Holman House In Sydney Australia

I’m a sucker for houses with amazing views, and the Holman House in Sydney, Australia certainly qualifies, inspired by a Picasso painting and built on 70 metre high cliffs.

The living areas are cantilevered out over endless views of the ocean while the bedrooms are snug against the cliff side. The lower levels form a base built on rough stone walls which continue along the cliff edge to form concentric terraced gardens and a rock pool.

Form Inevitably Follows Function

We have always heard that form follows function and in the case of this table that is certainly true. Made from multiple layers of wood laminated together, the top is thin but strong.

The Flaxx Chair By Martin Mostbock

Martin Mostböck, Viennese designer has produced the Flaxx chair. The Flaxx chair has a shell and frame made entirey from 100% recyclable materials. The chair seat is made from natural flax matting, hence the name, while the frame features a cantilevered seat to improve stability  and comfort.

The Flaxx chair is available in different colours and additional coating. You can even have your logo embossed straight into the flax fibres. Flaxx chair can also be utilized inside or outside.
