Calabarte or Przemek designs and sculpts these amazing lamps made from African gourds.
After 7 years of studies and a background in building engineering he decided that the gourds were what he wanted to continue doing. So he travelled to Senegal and brought back some of the gourds that he carves and sculpts.

Multidisciplinary artist Guy Laramee has for the past 3 decades worked as a stage writer, director, composer, a fabricator of musical instruments, a singer, sculptor, painter and writer. Among his sculptural works are an incredible series of carved book landscapes and structures entitled Biblios and The Great Wall. The old books’ pages are carved into serene mountains, plateaus and prehistoric structures.
