Worlds Most Valuable Computers

Custom Falcon Computer

According to Better.com, the Falcon Northwest is the world’s most valuable computer. Falcon not only allow you to choose the colour of your computer case, but they also provide a custom paint job and a computer customised to your every PC requirement.

Some of the features of a Falcon Northwest computer are:

  • Three-day burn-in of each system to make sure the computer can pass rigorous testing and use. If it doesn’t pass, even a small part in the system, then it isn’t shipped to the customer.
  • BIOS is optimized, but customers can still access it to make changes if they’d like.
  • Comes with a custom USB flash drive recovery backup.
  • After you buy the computer, the technical support is not outsourced, but handled by the company.
  • Custom paint jobs with an automotive finish.
  • Expect to pay from $20, 000 and upwards for a customized computer.

* The customization options of a Falcon Northwest computer can be found on the company’s website

Conceptual U Transfer USB Stick

The U Transfer USB stick is a conceptual storage device that, theoretically can be slotted together end to end. There will also be a screen so that you can see what files are on the devices, eliminating the need for a computer.

Hopefully the screen will be touch activated so that you can scroll through the files without having to use a computer.

*The conceptual design was designed by Yiyan Cao and was featured in Yanko Design

Smart Electric Ping Pong

When the all-electric Smart FourTwo was released last year at a car show in Germany, the marketing team had to come up with a way of marketing the car without using the usual, boring “it’s good for the environment” theme, so they went with a new way to play Eball, with the cars as the controllers and you behind the wheel. I must say, it looks like a boatload of fun.

Bio-Computer Modifications

When Mike Schropp looked around his basement, he found it over run with computer parts, gadgets and LEGO, so he decided to introduce a bit of nature into his immediate environment. Mike was a loss as to how he would do this, until the idea of using the heat from his computer motors to germinate wheat grass came to him. So like any mad scientists from the comics, he began taking a computer tower apart, to modify and rearrange so that he could grow wheat grass in his Bio-computer.

You can see the entire process and see the reasoning behind his decisions on his blog, Total Geekdom, via TreeHugger

An Endless Supply of USB

_wordpress_wp-content_uploads_2010_09_USB3Do you ever simply just run out of USB ports? Does this frustrate you to no end? Well no more, Gonglue Jiang has designed a set of interconnecting USBs that enables the user to connect an infinite number of USBs to their computer.

The user is only limited to the number of plugs and desk space he or she has. The plugs were designed to plug into one another and create a seamless connection between the computer/laptop and any device connected via USB.

The brightly coloured strips on each USB plug helps identify which device is connected to what and where. If there is more demand from one of the stacked USBs, the AC adapter simply reroutes more power to that USB plug.
