San Sebastian Green Roof House

Near Whale Beach on San Sebastian, Sao Paulo, sits a group of four houses that pay homage to the areas natural beauty. Built on a plot of 4000 square meters that were authorised by the city, the condominiums were built so as to keep impact on the local environment and vegetation as minimal as possible, featuring green roofs, open plan interiors to promote cross ventilation, and certified wood finishes and local materials. Architect, Arthur Casas, known for his elegant houses with neutral tones was in charge of the structural and interior designs and made sure that every room faced the sea, because not only is the homes’ location spectacular, but by using natural light in the homes, utility costs are reduced, making the homes even more eco friendly.
