The Warburg House is built on a wooded Canadian farmstead and was created with the brief of energy efficiency and a budget of under $100,000. Designers Bioi created an iconic “house-shaped” form and put it on a platform 200mm off the ground.

When architecture graduate, Dai Haifei, finished his studies and faced getting an apartment in Beijing he found that he couldn’t afford the astronomical rent demanded by apartment buildings.
So he took his qualifications and decided to design and build with a little help from his friends his own house.
