Tom from the blogging duo Tom Eats, Jen Cooks, has gone to Osaka, Japan and explored the eating options available there. And what a wide range there is, from the dodgy bars in Dotonbori to the Fish Market serving copious amounts of sake with fresh fish and intricate dishes.
In case you are looking for an emergency dessert for your Christmas table, I thought I would share with you these mini gingerbread cookie pies from Eclectic Recipes. Lately s’mores have become very popular, especially now that winter has arrived and we actually need the fires for warmth. We have also seen s’mores in almost every shape and form but we have never seen s’more chocolate truffles.

At Meesterlijk, the design and craft fair in Amsterdam, Marije Vogelzang designed a scone factory for her former partner Piet Hekker. The scone factory features live scone baking, and the only agreement is that you don’t eat any scones without adding jam and cream!
Imagine having your favourite meal turned into a cocktail with just a fraction of the calories. That is what Le Whif creator, David Edwards has done. After David’s first project Le Whif, was such a hit, he and Marc Bretillot have collaborated to create Le Whaf enabling you to experience the complex flavours of your favourite complete meal without the calories and in cocktail form.

If you have a really tall dog breed, chances are it’s difficult for them to reach their food and water bowls when they are placed on the ground. The dogs leaning over can also lead to them inhaling too much air and getting bloat which can be deadly, especially to deep-chested breeds like Great Danes.
Half Moon Bay, California has always been a fishing town, and from the 15th November every year crab season starts. This marks a time when thousands of pounds of fresh Dungeness crabs are brought in by boat and sold fresh and squirming to locals & restaurants in the town.
Tom Borden started a Kickstarter page to start Half Moon Bays first and only crab shack on wheels. Selling dishes like Whole Steamed Dungeness Crab, Dungeness Crab Sandwich, Zolo’s Crab Balls and Dungeness Crab Chowder Tom plans to fill the demand for a crab shack to serve the hundreds of tourists that come to Half Moon Bay specifically for the Dungeness crab.
