Whitepods: Glamping In Style In Switzerland

Glamping is the practice of camping but with a little less dirt and more of the luxury and comfort we all wish normal camping should involve. Whitepods in the Valais canton of Switzerland is one of the best places for a bit of glamping. The resort consists of 15 geodesic-dome pods surrounding a central chalet with 7km of ski slopes with private ski lifts, The Alpage de Chindonne and The Chalet des Cerniers, but what is most interesting is the Whitepods. These minimalistic eco-pods boast cowhide throws and wood fired stoves, fully loaded iPods, a spa on the doorstep which I think is the staple of every top boutique hotel. Access to the Whitepods is only by ski or snowshoe, which works right into the resorts exclusivity.
