In stark contrast to the hotel it is in, the Apero Bar & Restaurant was decorated with industrial finishes like cast aluminium wall lamps and reclaimed timber tables. The Ampersand Hotel on the other hand is a decadent, luxurious hotel on Harrington Road in the heart of London. Dexter Moren and Associates, the firm that redesigned the Apero Bar & Restaurant, created flexible zones throughout the space where people could have communal breakfasts or private dining.
In the middle of bustling Manhattan, is the city’s first ski-themed bar, Hudson Bar. The 1,500 square foot bar, located in Hudson Hotel’s private park, and decorated to transport guests into a winter oasis with animal hide rugs, wooden skis and sleds.
The menu is also ski-inspired, featuring a Hot Chocolate Bar with toppings like crushed candy canes, chocolate pretzel dust, burnt marshmallow and gooey cookie dough. There are beverages created by Steve Olson such as hot buttered rum and Aztec hot chocolate.
Sleeping Around is a fun pop-up hotel where exclusivity and flexibility is paramount. The hotel consists of 6 converted shipping containers which are four hotel rooms, a sauna room and a restaurant & lounge.

Located in the desert of Inner Mongolia, is the Desert Lotus Hotel. A concrete-free hotel erected in the shape of a lotus blossom in Xiang Sha Wan, in the Gobi Desert. PlaT Architects had to invent a new structural system to be anchored in the sands by panels and a prefabricated steel support skeleton.
Located in Linz Austria is the designer boutique hotel called The Spitz Hotel. Their rooms are a fun mix of comfort and quirk, with their trademark star burst placed in the décor at unexpected intervals, like the star burst shaped sponge and the cut-out in the powder coated steel desk, their branding is subtle.
The Stay Apartment Hotel in Copenhagen is a place of beauty. Located on Island Brygge, a fast developing residential area, the hotel has been decorated with very little colour, just stark black and white furnishings.
While waiting for their permits, Walls, the Danish real estate company behind the Stay Apartment Hotel, lent the old A House building to local artists, designers, musicians and other creatives who turned the building into an alternative Copenhagen landmark.
Miura Hotel in the Czech Republic, is located in the town of Celadna. The hotel’s decor is focused on art and design, calming colours with pops of purple throughout the rooms and public areas.
Miura is located right on the 36 hole Golf Course Čeladná, where the European PGA Tour Czech Open was held.
