Enchanted Dolls

Like any little girl, I played with my share of dolls as a child. Barbie, Ken, Popples and My Little Pony were all shoved into what I called dolls. Then as I got older, I discovered that there were dolls that you didn’t play with, ones that were put on display so that everyone could enjoy them without damaging their perfect porcelain skin, those are the kinds of dolls that Marina Bychkova makes. Her doll range is called Enchanted Dolls, and they each have unique, very expressive faces and all hand painted by Marina herself.

Beautiful, delicate, hauntingly real looking dolls that have better wardrobes than I do. Marina’s inspiration could come from anywhere, from fairy tales like Princess and the Pea or Cinderella. Or from beautiful Japanese traditionally dressed ladies.
