The Bolton Eco House was placed underneath the hillside to lessen its impact on the environment around it. Built by Make Architects, it was the first zero-emission carbon property in the North West of England and the client was heavily involved in the planning process. Although the overall quality of the finishes was a major factor in the building process, the idea of building a truly environmentally friendly and efficient home was paramount.
