Toilet Paper Roll Mirror Frame

Recycling requires creativity and perseverance, and Cindy from Made 2 Style has both in spades. Using just the inner roll from toilet paper rolls, hot glue, a really inexpensive mirror an embroidery hoop and spray paint, she came up with this lovely piece of art.

The Summerhouse By ullmayersylvester

ullmayersylvester designed a summerhouse for a family of four that would serve as a painter’s studio, garden shed, table tennis venue and sleep-over venue. It transformed their rather neglected rear garden into a place family member could escape, create and socialize with their friends.

The building is timber framed which was clad in a reflective thin skin which was not only to weather proof the structure but also to reflect the garden, essentially camouflaging the building.

One is a mirror surrounded by painted plastic spoons, a relatively inexpensive project that can be completed with just a few supplies, and the other is a chest of drawers from IKEA that got a major peach makeover.

These great projects are available through Addicted2Decorating and SF Girl By Bay

Alternative Mirror Decor

We have all see the Popsicle stick mirrors, even mirrors encircled by plastic spoons! Basically if you could hot glue it to a frame, it can go around your mirror.

But Gina’s version of a decorated mirror just screams shabby chic, which is convenient because her blog is called The Shabby Creek Cottage.

A full tutorial on how to get your rope to stay around your mirror is available on the Shabby Creek Cottage blog

iReveal Mirror Tell You How Healthy You Are

Whatever we can imagine, you can guarantee that someone will try to make what’s make believe in the movies, into reality, like the Power laces and Marty McFly’s sneakers. In this case, it’s Tony Stark’s bedroom information display windows from Iron Man. The iReveal mirror was developed by the New York Times Labs and could help you stay healthy and mobile by tracking your movement though the days and weeks.
