Moore Studio In Halifax Nova Scotia

The Moore Studio is located in Halifax Nova Scotia, it is a house built especially for a couple whose children have left home. The studio is designed to allow the couple to live in a setting that is best for their dogs and artistic ambitions.

Larchwood Cutting Boards

These handcrafted cutting boards are made from indigenous Eastern Canadian Larch by local craftsmen in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. They are made using ancient skills that have been passed from generation to generation.

Lacy Metal Sculptures

As a self confessed “Devil’s Advocate”, with a preference for contrasting textures placed side by side, Cal Lane’s career choice doesn’t really come as a surprise, especially when you find out she creates delicate metal lace sculptures from wheelbarrows, oil drums, metal pipes and I-Beams. These delicate sculptures form three dimensional installations at places like Museum of Lace Manufacturers in Retournac, France and they manage to represent the height of femininity, in the lace and the strength of masculinity. All of Cal’s work has meticulous skill and attention to detail, as can be seen in some of the pictures below.
