Adidas, those great sneakers from the eighties have produced a sports shoe inspired by the court and quarter-pipe. The adiRise Mid Shoes have an all-leather exterior and vulcanized outsole. There is also an ankle and heel strap detail with a set of perforated 3-Stripes on the sides.

Ever had one of those conversations with family around the dinner table or barbecue fire that started with “what if…“. Most of the time that sort of conversation doesn’t amount to anything, but sometimes, those conversations inspire greatness.
French magazine, Shoes Up, and sportswear brand Asics has teamed up to re-release the popular trainer from the seventies, the Retro Rocket. The plain trainers were worn by scores of Japanese school children, as part of their uniforms, with only the colour changing between grade. So that means everybody in the same grade had the same pair, and each student had to write their name in the shoes so as not to walk a mile in his neighbours’ shoes, literally. The re-released Retro Rockets seamlessly blend both the Japanese and French cultures, with the trainer being made in France and having the Shoes Up logo on the tongue. Each pair comes with a seventies staple, a bag of marbles.
The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research have announced that they will be auctioning the sneaker introduced in the nineteen eighty nine movie, Back To The Future 2 with Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox.
