Over a creek in North Carolina is the Bridge House, designed by Platt Architects. It straddles a small creek on natural rock pillars. The interiors are rustic and warm, with oversized furniture to help you through the harsh North Carolina winters. Platt Architects have been designing homes for more than 25 years, and specialise in mountain homes, the architectural firm was started by Alfred Platt and now includes his son, Parker Platt.

Stone Fruit & Berry Crumble

For Micheal, the summer has been a good one, filled with chilled soups and sweet tarts. He has some great recipes for those of you hanging on to the last dregs of summer fruit, as well as those just going into a season filled with stone fruit and sunscreen.

My favourite would be the stone fruit & berry crumble, I love the way you can use just about any stone fruit you can find and any berry as well, to make the recipe completely personal and suited to your taste.
