Once in a while I find something that really knocks my socks off. It could be an invention or a gadget that would be totally useless but that I just have to have in my life, and this is one of them. Its the World Clock that tells you the time. Not in a retarded robot voice that’ll scare the bejesus out of you, but with actual words… I could have used this when my sister was trying to help me learn to tell time. Really, I think we both could used this.
These beautiful clocks are made by Doug Jackson in Australia, they came about as a gift for his wife who is an English teacher and he wanted to give her a gift that would reflect her love for words. He also wanted to teach people about electronic design and construction, and so he sells the completed clocks as well as the individual components AND kits so you can make one yourself.
