Completed DejaVu Bag

We have all had one (or several) of those days when nothing seems to go right. When something essential gets left behind while we get swept into the morass of life. With the Deja Vu purse, remembering whether something has been put into your purse can be taken out of your hands. Designers Heidi Chen and Nicole Tariverdian have come up with a system that will scan up to five tagged items and just by pressing a button can you find if any of them are not in your bag before you leave the house.

The above video goes through how the Deja Vu purse was developed, programmed and how the bag will work in the real world. The newly developed intelligent bag boasts an RFID system that helps you to remember to take important items like your wallet, keys, and cell phone with you. Just attach the custom RFID tags to your things and turn on the bag, it will automatically scan items as they enter and leave, keeping track of what’s in the bag.  A simple squeeze of the soft button and the LED display will light up to show which items are accounted for, so that you never have to frantically search the bag to check if your items are there.
