The Mark Hotel in New York City, has now added an attraction, they have acquired a fleet of bespoke Republic Bikes that are available for use during your stay. The bikes are painted distinctive black and white with a bag filled with picnic fixings from The Mark’s celebrated chef, George Vongerichten.
Chef George’s picnics include dishes like steamed shrimp salad, avocado and enoki, champagne dressing; fresh Mozzarella, marinated roasted peppers and arugula; black truffle pizza with Fontina cheese; mini vanilla and chocolate éclairs red velvet cupcake; and artisanal cheeses. Lunch-to-go also includes half a bottle of Champagne and a bottle of San Pellegrino. Each picnic hamper includes blanket, plates, cutlery and glasses all fitted neatly into the bicycles front basket, with a specially designed drink bottle cooler.
